Chaleur (2024)

As climate change accelerates, cities are heating up. Paris is particularly affected, having recorded the highest number of heat-related deaths among European cities (The Lancet, 2023). This short essay film follows three women in the Paris region as they navigate extreme heat shaped by age, health, and social conditions. Their voices mix with nature images, contrasting urban discomfort with the restorative potential of green environments.

While rooted in Paris, the film shows a shared global reality. It hopes to offer an entry point into the debate of climate vulnerability and highlights the urgency of political action, solidarity, and climate-resilient cities.
